#57: Fractal Design Arc Midi Case Review

MSRP: €90

The Fractal Design Arc Midi is a great case to work with, also drawing the attention with its sober and sleek looks. It doesn’t scream out for attention, but it still is classy. It is not as quiet as most other Fractal Design cases, since it doesn’t have any noise dampening foam, but then it offers an incredible amount of fan mounting options (up to 8 140mm fans can be installed, of which 3 are included).
Definitely an awesome case!

  • Great case to work with: There are more than enough cable management holes, everything is on the place it should be, overall very nice case to build your rig in!
  • A lot of cooling options: up to 8x 140mm fans can be installed. Even a 240 radiator in the top is possible. Besides that: all dustfilters are great quality and more or less easy to clean.
  • Very clean design, simple yet strikingly beautiful.
  • Great value for money.
  • Enough space for everything: ultra long graphics cards can be installed, as well as long PSUs. You almost never feel this is a Mid size tower case!
  • Pretty quiet yet still okay cooling.
  • Direct USB 3.0 header for the motherboard!

  • No ModuVent system (as in the R3 and XL) in side panel makes this case a little noisier since the 180mm let's through a lot of air/ noise.
  • Not as quiet as the R3 ;).

If you want to add more fans to this case, but still don't want it to be super noisy, take a look at Noctua fans. They're expensive, but offer good airflow at a low dB output :) And no, they sadly don't sponsor us...
